Franchise in History, plus Hall of Fame Ranks, and Best Teams Ever
lists, All in One Place!
What
batter had the best season ever? Which pitcher dominated the

In
Stat Geek Baseball, the Best Ever Book from the staff at

hundreds of players listed, plus explanations of the Top Ten. And it's
more than the top seasons of individual batters and pitchers, there are

to your favorites from coast to coast, yes, the New York Yankees to the
Minnesota Twins to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It includes Best Ever lists
for the regular season, postseason, and careers plus rankings, ratings,
and Hall of Fame ranks by position and more.

Reviews
Amazon Review ... Entertaining and
Informative
This
is a great book if you are interested in baseball at all, and is very
easy to read even if you don't know much about statistics. It's full of
interesting facts and figures, and does a great job explaining what
each rating and score is, and why it is important to the game of
baseball. I learned a lot about the history of baseball reading this,
and the writing style is great for just sitting down and reading - not
dry and boring, like you would expect a stats book to be. Highly
recommended!
Amazon Review ... Baseball Stats FTW!
"Recommended
reading for everyone from the die hard fans of the
sport, those just starting out and even those merely seeking a look at
the best of the best at a given time. By books end, you can't help but
end up humming the familiar bars of "Take Me Out to the Ball
Game.....happy reading!"

FAQ
Q&A with Staff @ baseballevaluation.com
Has
Stat Geek Baseball just made up these rankings off the top of their
head?
No.
The best ever lists in Stat Geek Baseball, the Best Ever Book, come
from the baseballevaluation.com Player Rating decision model, a
research study that took over 5,000 hours to complete and rated every
player in baseball history. It looked at over 4 million stats and came
up with nearly 2 million new ones of their own. And it's not a quick
one, two, plus three system. It tracks correlations between how
baseball stats of all eras compare and are valued by real baseball. At
the heart of the model is PEVA, the player rating system for every
season in a player's career.
