Stat Geek Baseball Countdown
Best Careers by Team (Week Four)

Cincinnati Kelly's Killers to Indianapolis Blues
Current Teams Listed Below
Colorado Rockies
Detroit Tigers
Florida Marlins
Houston Astros
Each week from May to June, we're going to count down a random sample of the best players and pitchers for all teams in history from our book, Stat Geek Baseball, the Best Ever Book.

We're going to be doing this in alphabetical order, twelve teams per week, and rotate from batters to pitchers every other week.  We'll hand out one of the top twenty for each team, and the full top ten for one of them.  In the book, there's a top twenty listing.  We'll be doing one per day and post them all on Monday for you to stop back and look through.  This is but a sample of the information in the book, of course, and you can read more pages of that at Google Books, and buy it at one of our online or bookstore partners.  It makes a great gift for Father's Day if you've got a baseball fan dad!

What is PEVA?

PEVA is the acronym for Stat Geek Baseball's New Player Rating value. This grade is given to each player and pitcher each season, rating their performance on a peer to peer review.  Six components for pitchers and batters are melded together into the PEVA Rating, which ranges each year from 0.200 to 64.000. For more information on PEVA and the other new baseballevaluation.com Stats, see our Definitions page.  PEVA ratings are available for every pitcher and hitter in baseball history.
